This is James's specialty - he has been building earth sheltered homes in Wyoming for 30 years. I lived in one most of my life and they use about much less energy than a conventional stickbuilt because in the winter minimal amounts af heat are required and in the summer they stay cool. We plan to incorporate solar panels for heating as well and a built in composting pit in the burm. Since we are still under construction any additions would be easy at this point. We are also having an electrician wire for wind energy.
